Fundraising Tips & Hints
You can now raise money for Weston Park Hospital quickly and easily online with your own personalised web page.

Step 1
Enter your event details, select Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity as the benefiting charity.
Step 2
Fill in your name and address and choose a password.
Step 3
Choose a web address for your page, write a title and a message and, if you have one, add a photo. That's it, your online fundraising page is live on the Web!
Step 4
Email the address of your page to everyone you know, anywhere in the world. They donate online by credit or debit card 24 hours a day and get an email receipt. UK taxpayers can also increase the value of their gift through Gift Aid at no extra cost to them!
Step 5
Sit back and watch your total grow! The money you raise is paid directly into Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity's bank account along with Gift Aid.
Think Smart
- Ask your employer if they will match what you raise before you start fundraising.
- Give your friends and family a sponsorship form and ask them to raise sponsorship on your behalf.
- Display a collection box in your place of work - we can provide these free for you.
Cheque Presentations
- We are happy to take a photograph of you presenting the money you have raised to a member of our fundraising team.
- Where possible we try to feature the photo on our website or in your local press. Although for the latter where possible we do encourage you to do this for yourself.(See Share your Story).
- We have a large cheque available or if you have a more imaginative idea for an interesting or unusual picture even better!
- Our small team attend cheque presentations up to 7pm on weekdays and 12 noon on Saturdays. Please give us lots of notice!
Letter of Recognition
- We can issue you with a Letter of Recognition which allows people too see you are a genuine and legitimate fundraiser for the Cancer Charity.
- This letter will contain details of your fundraising event, your name and address, the period over which you are raising funds and how and with whom.
