The build up to the festive season can be a magical time of year and provides the chance for families to share some special moments together.

For Jenna McGregor these are moments she never thought she’d have.

In 2008 at the age of just 23 Jenna was diagnosed with Gestational Trophoblastic Disease, a cancer which grows inside the uterus.
In total shock Jenna was put under the care of Weston Park Hospital, which is one of only two specialist centres in England to treat this rare disease.

Jenna says,“Having cancer at such a young age and hearing the news that as a result of my illness I might not be able to have children was incredibly difficult to deal with.

It was a hard time in my life but knowing I was being cared for by such a specialist hospital and such dedicated staff really did help”.

Eight years on and Jenna has defied the odds and now has two beautiful children, Rae aged 5 and Reed aged 4.

Baking Christmas biscuits with her little ones and looking forward to a fun filled festive season Jenna knows how lucky she is to be able to enjoy these precious moments.
